Isa Van den Wouwer (b. 1999) is an independent curator and writer based between Antwerp (BE) and Stockholm (SE). Merging profound research, collaborative ways of working and embodied curatorial practices, she faces and responds to the social context we inhabit and operate within, articulated in focused and intimate formats. Her area of interest lies within themes such as individuality, embodiment, the sense of belonging, grief, and the complexity of inhabiting one's body; in short, matters that tend to be close to us.

Previously, she has realised projects both individually and as one-third of the curatorial collective gutter, consisting of collaborators Unn Faleide and Elvira K. Wikman, at art spaces such as Accelerator (Stockholm) and de boer gallery (Antwerp). Alongside this, she writes curatorial texts, artist statements, and essays that delve into curatorial ethics and the fluctuating cultural landscape.
